Korea In Verbal Attributive Contrast

Verbal Attributive is a kind of important component used frequently in daily life and literature works. The objects of this paper are Korean and Chinese verbal attributives. It is to observe the similarities and differences between them. This paper makes comparative analysis on form, usage, and the expressed tense and aspect meaning, shows their similarities and differences and the counterparts. The main parts are discussed as follows:Chapter One is a brief introduction of the research purpose, method and meaning of this paper, and reviews the current research results of Korean and Chinese verbal attributives.Chapter Two mainly analyses the system, time anchor point, and the expressed tense and aspect meaning of Korean verbal attributives. To discuss the tense and aspect meaning, this chapter first discusses the problems about the time anchor point of attributives. According to different time anchor points, the tense and aspect meanings are divided into absolute tense and comparative tense. Furthermore, it provides a detailed analysis on the tense and aspect meaning of these verbal attributives: '-(?)/(?)', '-(?)', '-(?)/(?)', and '-(?)'.Chapter Three mainly analyses the system of Chinese verbal attributives, describes the words on the attributive position, such as, '了''着''过', their charaeteristics when combined with verbs, and presents the expressed tense meaning of these verbal attributives: '了''着''过'and "zero" attributives.Chapter Four compares Korean verbal attributives and Chinese verbal attributives. The comparative analysis is mainly discussed on form, pragmatics, tense and aspect meaning. Furthermore, this chapter investigates the similarities and differences between Korean- Chinese verbal attributives and represents their counterparts.This paper analyses the comparison between Korean- Chinese verbal attributives. Based on the study of the tense and aspect meaning expressed by the two kinds of verbal attributives, it shows a clear picture of the similarities and differences between Korean verbal attributive and Chinese verbal attributive. Hoping it is useful to help Chinese students' Korean learning and good for Chinese-Korean teaching.
