In the brain mechanism researches of Numerical Processing, Subitizing, Counting and SNARC Effect all presented that there is intense relationship between numerical processing and spatial coding, which strongly activates the IPS, considered as numerical processing main field. But the former researches didn't separate the process of numerical serial processing and spatial attention transferring. The experiment in the thesis applies 2×2×2 three-factor design, presenting stimulates with self-terminate or short-time methods, changing the number of more or less level representing the variety of numerical serial processing and the area of big or small level representing the variety of spatial attention transformation. By using the technique of fMRI, this research probes into the relationship between the two factors, numerical serial processing and spatial attention transformation, and the activation characteristics in the brain. Finally, the results indicate that: (1) Interparietal sulcus (IPS), Occipital Visual Field, and Frontal Eye Field have greatly activated. That means the result has repeated the discovery of the former conclusions; (2) In the self-terminate condition, IPS, Occipital Visual Field, and Frontal Eye Field have greatly activated in the brain through the contrast of number main effect; (3) Posterior Parietal Lobe has great activation through the contrast of area main effect; (4) In short-time condition, IPS, Occipital Visual Field, Frontal Eye Field and Anterior Cingulate gyrus(ACC) also have greatly activated in the brain through the contrast of number main effect; Posterior Parietal Lobe also has great activation through the contrast of area main effect; (5) there is interaction effect between the two factors, numerical serial processing and spatial attention transformation, activating the Middle frontal gyrus (MFGy) and Inferior Parietal gyrus(IPGy) slightly, supporting that the process of numerical serial processing and spatial attention transferring is separative.
