Chinese Characters are a great creation of Chinese nation, it carries China's Traditional Culture. As a special phenomenon of culture, Chinese Characters are studied by many scholars. And the Cultural Research of Chinese Characters come into being.This thesis tried to study the Chinese traditional view of the life through analyzing Chinese Characters. In the Introduction, a general survey of the study results in the Cultural Research of Chinese Characters are given. The first chapter discusses the characteristics of Chinese Characters, centers on the relation between Chinese Characters and China's Traditional Culture , also discusses the relation between Chinese Characters and the Chinese traditional view of the life. The second chapter is the point of this thesis, analyzes three sets of Chinese Characters: yin, yang; jing, qi, shen; qian, xian , and other related Characters. All these Characters relate to the source , the exist and the extension of the life. By these Characters, this thesis tries to study the Chinese traditional view of the life. The third chapter is a summary and deeply thinking of preceding context, expounds it from three aspect: the Philosophy view, the Medical science view, the Religious view of Chinese nation. The appendix is a form of all the Chinese Characters discussed in this thesis.This thesis discusses a concrete cultural subject, based on many dictionaries and related documents, especially the ancient dictionaries and classic documents. It is also a summary of my studying in Chinese Classic Documents for three years.
