Chinese Violin Playing Techniques Exploration

Chinese violin compositions are good examples of communication and integration between Chinese music culture and western music culture. It is very important for performing these compositions to fully understand and integrate the Chinese national music culture. The requirement not only includes some specific meanings in culture and esthetics, but also develops its own system on playing technique to create series of special playing technique for national compositions. For the performing technique the paper focus on two main aspects that are fingering rules for pentatonic modes and linear beauty of music. From the view of Chinese traditional music culture, the paper deeply researched the category, formation, style of the specific technique, and especially in the principle and practicing methods with the entrance of morphic character of Chinese traditional music. The key is to sum up a system of practical methods aiming at some rules existing possibly. The aim of the paper is to achieve natural transition from western playing system to nationalized special system and find out the core law about the special playing technique. I wish my research will contribute to the practice of nationalized playing .
