Dali period is the transition from the High Tang to the Middle Tang and between the two peaks of the poetry. The poetry is dim compared with the great poet Li, Du and Yuan, Bai. The poets of Dali period inherited good method and made innovation. The poetry of this time have both of the remains of the High Tang's poetry and the distinct character of its own times. As the most outstanding poet of this period, Qianqi's poems naturally contain integration and collisions of the two kind spirit of the times. In artistic style, one is natural and leisureliness, the other is loneliness and sadness.This paper, fist, introduce Qianqi's life and the poetry group that have close ties with him. And briefly discuss that Qianqi's creation is influenced by his special life experiences, especially the war of Anshi, and the literary background of Dali Poetry. The next two chapters are the systematic analysis of the poetry contents and artistic characteristics. By compared with High Tang, the chapter discuss poetic meaning, poetic images , lyrical poetry and poetic language. Qianqi form a unique style from inheritance and creation.That is not because Qianqi study and explore the poetry consciously, but also social, political, religious, and other various factors.In short, as a transitional poet of this transitional period,Qianqi is not just a representative of a poetry group, but a sign of aesthetic pursuit of that times and the concept of poetry. Qianqi became a bridge and link between Weijin,High Tang and Late Middle Tang on creation of Shanshui poetry.
