On The Art Of Singing Chang Xiangyu In The Embodiment Of Hua Mulan

Chang xiangyu is a famous actress of Henan opera who is familiar to the masses and is beloved by them. She is one of the famous actresses of traditional opera. Her vocal music in Chinese operas is praised highly and beloved. During her seventy—year artistic practice, she is constantly improving her skills. As a result, she is unique in her style of singing and become an outstanding actress in the performance of Henan opera.The article aims at analyzing the characteristics in her vocal music in Chinese operas and artistic performance in her representative work Hua MuLan.Besides introduction and concluding remarks, this paper mainly includes two parts.The first chapter is about the brief introduction of Chang XiangYu and the analysis of characteristics of her vocal music in Henan operas and experiences in the invention of her vocal music in Henan operas. I carry out the analysis from the following aspects: 1. The inheritance and innovation of accents in western Henan;2.The fusion of accents in eastern Henan;3.The assimilation of the tones and arts of singing of Henan opera;4.The assimilation of characteristics of other artistic styles;5.The fusion of tones of everyday languages. The characteristics of her vocal music in Henan operas will be analysed in the following two aspects. 1. The vocal music should embody the disposition, thoughts and feeling of characters; 2.The novelty value in the vocal music in Henan operas.Chapter two embodies her characteristics in vocal music in Chinese operas by analyzing her representative work Hua MuLan. This chapter can be divided into two parts. Part one is the introduction to Henan opera Hua MuLan. Part tow is the analysis of her characteristics in vocal music in Chinese operas which carried out from the substance reflection and aesthetic reflection.
