Dvorak was representative of the national music in Czechoslovakia, and was a famous composer of the romantic period in 19th century. There are many research on Dvorak as the representative of national music, however, as a successful romantic composer was little. This article expatiated the successful reason of Dvorak from the aspect of music historiography and music sociology. According to the success of the course and successful history of Dvorak, the society and individual reason and several other aspects of a comprehensive and in-depth analysis.The article is divided into four parts. The first is Dvorak obtains the international fame in Czechoslovakia, Germany, Europe or even the world and finally moved towards the success. The second part is analysis of the historical reasons for his success, which including the history and the ethnics of the Czech Republic and Germany. The third part is analysis of the social reasons for the success, including his social background and social relationship. The last is understanding the creative idea and exploring the interaction between his idea and the process of success. Dvorak inosculated the national and romantic music in his writing; the romanticism style and the classicism style; accordingly, those personalities such as elegant rhythm, compact harmonic and profound knowledge were exhibited and come into being his special style. Therefore, he succeeded with the road that belonged Dvorak at last.
