Human body is not only a musical instrument but also a performer, combining subject with object. It is hard to see the human body—a musical instrument in a straight way. Many are not clear about the structure and performance of their own intrument although they have been engaged in the career for years, therefore it may cause blindness to some extent, which handicaps the maintainance and full development of the instrument. The paper mainly focuses on the state and application of throat and vocal cord and the illustration of their roles in artistic singing. As they are vocal organs, the generation of sound begins from the close of vocal cord. During the process of singing, the height, stability and openness of throat and the tightness, frequency and adjustment of vocal cord plays a direct role in the singing. In addition, the paper also illustrates that throat and vocal cord are the hinge and strobe of singing through the analysis from the perspective of their physical structure, their relationships towards breath and resonance and those between function of vocal cord and sounding zone, which should be paid utmost attention to.
