Inquire About A National Style Of Chinese Painting

Chinese and Western painting had developed different styles in the course of the civilization of mankind, exploring under the direction of different conceptions, including colors and forms. Although there exists huge discrepancy between both sides, in the fields of the attitude towards nature, dealing with the pictorial language and the principles of the using of colors. But after entering modern civilization stage, Chinese and Western painting progressed rapidly, mutually inosculating at the same time. Chinese oil painters positively absorbed the distillation of Chinese and Western painting, creating new style distinguishing to the old, forming rich and varied artistic outlooks.This paper analyzes the discrepancy of the color conception and principles, then integrates the painting theories and practice of the Chinese oil painters in the last century, explores the development trend of the national style of the Chinese oil painting.
