Re-focus The Realistic Significance

This study is mainly influenced by a number of Antonio Lopez Garcia's art practices and inspired by the method of the restoration of first person perspective experience. A series of photography collage experiment by David Hockney also produce similar effect. For this reason, I would like to carry out the exploration of restoration of the first person perspective experience. The purpose is to emphasize the importance of seeing it firsthand and to rectify the essential meaning of realistic painting. Hence, I wish to highlight the necessity of initiatively seeing. Through the process of demonstrating the theory of realistic painting, I attempt to probe into fountain-head of artistry and find the possibility developing it in my career.The structure of dissertation is in a gradual order. Firstly, I approach the study by investigating the significance of seeing and artistic creating. Next, I will expound on the history of realism theory and discuss the development tendency of contemporary realistic painting. Finally, the ultimate meaning will be concluded in the end to regulate the value of realistic painting. After investigation, I noticed that the difference of personal seeing perception confound the meanings of realism. It is occurred by era evolution. By "Realistic approach" we mean a cadre which is not merely surface depicting but appearance of transformation in sense of logic. This research consisted of the innate structure and metaphors logic under appearance. Finally, I conclude that the ultimate goal of realistic painting is about sentimental expression and it rejects the traditional literary narrative function. Besides reflecting the soul image of artist's mind, the preciousness of emotional expression is also about reflecting the spirit of century and social ideological trend.
