This article is divided into three chapters to demonstrate the Culture-essay of Zhang Dai. Zhang Dai emphasized that literature producing should pursue the temperament which he named as"ice and snow", and an author should have its own real personality and real feature, namely"his own authorship". However, an author have"his own authorship"should be based on his profound culture accumulation and his uncanny literary talent. The root is that the author must"make his mind nobility"and"make his soul profundity"first, then can refer to his art. The third passage of this chapter is discussing the source of Zhang Dai's Culture-essay. Zhang Dai's grandfather, Zhang Rulin, who not only had the idea of Economics, but also had the ability to deal with the affairs. It vivid actualized common characteristic of landscape-literature in Ming Dynasty's late years. During that period, pleasure trip became a kind of vogue.
