| Zhang Ruitu,as the representative of the "New Calligraphy School" in the late Ming Dynasty,changed the traditional style of writing and created a new style of writing,which opened up a new way for Wang Duo,Huangdao Zhou,Ni Yuanlu and other younger generations.In the late Ming Dynasty,the political situation was chaotic,and Zhang Ruitu was affected by political disturbances.He was included in the "counter-case" related to the eunuchs,and his character was questioned by the world.The theory of "character is calligraphy" has been used in the evaluation of calligraphy.Zhang Ruitu was implicated in political struggle,his reputation was destroyed,and his calligraphy art could not be judged fairly because of political negation.However,the political influence was timeliness.With the collapse of Ming Dynasty,the influence of politics on his art in the late Ming Dynasty gradually weakened.This paper tries to analyze Zhang Ruitou’s achievements in calligraphy and political experience,in order to explain the limitations of political influence in the late Ming Dynasty and the vitality and far-reaching influence of excellent art.This article carries out the research through four aspects.The first part introduces the background of Zhang Ruitu’s times,analyses the social and cultural environment of his innovative style of writing,and objectively expounds the character and personality of the characters combined with his official career.The second part explores the establishment process of cursive style,and compares the style changes at different stages.It proves that there is no direct relationship between the fierce style of cursive writing and political pride.The strange and steep style of cursive writing reflects his breakthrough of traditional innovation and personal calligraphy concept.The third part examines Zhang Ruitou’s political experience.All his efforts in official career were destroyed by the political struggle in the late Ming Dynasty,which also brought "stains" to his historical image and questioned his character and his calligraphy.Zhang Ruitu’s achievements in calligraphy were overshadowed by the political influence of the late Ming Dynasty.The timeliness of politics had a negative impact on him for a period of time.However,with the development of history,the political timeliness gradually faded.Because of his undeniable artistic level,his calligraphy began to be faced with by future generations.His examples fully reflected the far-reaching influence of excellent art on future generations and the tenacious vitality.The fourth part lists the contemporary calligraphers who took Zhang Ruitu’s calligraphy,and analyses their calligraphy style.Zhang Ruitu’s calligraphy has become a model of learning.People are scrambling to learn the best affirmation of his calligraphy art. |
