Early Qing Dynasty Opera Literature

This paper focused on researching literary works of Chinese opera produced by the Yi-Min, whose lives run through both Ming and Qing dynasty and refused to serve the government of Qing. We analyzed their works, and paid more attention to their life environment, inditing details and other factors in history in order to discover reasons of why they created these dramas and what they intended to convey in those productions. We dug out typical cultural characters in these works by analyzing dramatic elements, such as imagoes, music, lyrics and themes, etc. We tried to show objective comments of these dramatic productions in history of the Chinese classical opera via analyzing text and artistic techniques in writing.
