Therefore, the study of it will help us to get a comprehensive understanding of Roman politics, economy and society.This paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter One explores the changes of Italian agricultural estates, pointing out that the development of big estates and the decay of peasantry produce ultimate influence to agriculture. Chapter Two explores the development of Italian commercial agriculture, discussing the agricultural types, the relation between agriculture and market and the motive of the agricultural management. Chapter Three explores the condition of agricultural labor, pointing out that the labor structure, the division of work and the treatment of labor are inclining to rationalization, which is an important cause for agricultural development. Chapter Four explores the agricultural techniques, showing the importance of techniques to the agricultural development. Chapter Five explores the causes and the influence of agriculture development.
