A Report On Translation Of Provincial Protected Agriculture Project Of 2007 In Zhaoxian County

With the further promotion and development of economic globalization and trade liberalization,the exchanges between countries and regions around the world are increasing,leading to a broader field of exchange.When agriculture becomes a part of economic globalization,it is inevitable for China’s agriculture to follow the trend of global economic development.The agriculture translation in foreign affairs plays an irreplaceable role in the process of China’s agricultural reform and opening up.In order to promote agricultural exchanges between different countries and regions,the author of this report translates this summary of protected agriculture.This translation practice report is based on the English translation of the report of the provincial Protected Agriculture Project of the Agricultural Technology Extension Center of Agriculture,Forestry and Animal Husbandry Bureau in Zhaoxian County.This translation practice report includes the following parts.The first part is the description of the translation task,including the background of the translation task,the features of the original text and the requirements of the translation task.The second part is the description of the translation process,including pre-translation preparation,translation process and post-translation revision.The third part is the analysis of the translation cases.This translation practice report gives an overview of Hu Gengshen’s theory of eco-translatology first and explores the relationship between the theory of eco-translatology and agricultural translation,analyzing the cases with the guidance of “three-dimensional transformation” theory of eco-translatology based on the correct understanding of the original text.The author of the report analyzes the translation from the perspective of linguistic dimension,and completes the adaptive transformation through amplification,conversion and omission.Based on the cultural connotation and background knowledge,the author of this report analyzes the translation from the perspective of cultural dimension and transforms the translation selectively through liberal translation and annotation.The author of this report analyzes the translation from the perspective of the communicative dimension and achieved the goal of bilingual communication through combination and omission.The fourth part includes the summary of the problems in the analysis of the translation cases and the corresponding suggestions.Starting from the features of agricultural project work summary,the author of this report applies the theory of eco-translatology based on the review of a large amount of relevant professional materials,aiming at improving the translation quality of agricultural project work report,ensuring accurate understanding of target language readers,and providing reference for other similar agricultural translation works.
