On The " Cultural Revolution " Acceptance Of Lu Xun

The Cultural Revolution is a profound historical event, which has exerted a serious disaster on China. It is an unprecedented event in history, thus it is of great uniqueness. Lu Xun, the renowned Chinese modern writer was granted a special status and fate by the Cultural Revolution. And his special status and fate at that time can be briefly viewed as the "acceptance" of Lu Xun by Cultural Revolution. This research was intended to investigate the "acceptance" from two perspectives; one was from the dissemination, the other one was from the study.Based on the considerations above, the thesis can fall into three parts.The first part is to scrutinize the patterns to disseminate Lu Xun in the Cultural Revolution. In the Cultural Revolution, Lu Xun was considered as the important national source, and the publication and circulation of his literature works were considered as the administrative behaviors. Meanwhile, the selective quotations of his works embodied the attitudes from the Cultural Revolution, which remolded the image of Lu Xun.The second part is to analyze the researches done on Lu Xun in the Cultural Revolution. When other writers suffered misfortune and adversity, Lun Xun, after the investigation was pushed into the center of the political platform in the Cultural Revolution. According to the fight philosophy, Lu Xun acted as the warrior at that time. Then, the study method and team on Lu Xun and his literature works reflected an abnormal look.The third part is to discuss the reasons why Lu Xun was recast by the Cultural Revolution. The revolutionary historical legacy of Lu Xun, the barren literature works to be read or studied at that circumstance, and Lu Xun himself compatible with the Cultural Revolution all together constructed an unprecedented and unrepeatable version of Lu Xun in Cultural Revolution.Reflection of the "acceptance" of Lu Xun by the Cultural Revolution is of great significance in many aspects, especially in the relationship between the scientific understanding towards Lu Xun and the changes in the Chinese society. Therefore, remolding the literature image of Lu Xun again is of great vigilant values.
