There are many phenomena of language to which we often do not pay much attention, but it is because of those unnoticeable phenomena that make us easily feel the beauty of language when we speak or write, especially in the sense of the presentation of speech sound. Our auditory perception towards speech sound is attributed to the"sound gesture"which is like our body gesture. In fact, the"sound gesture"has its profound physiological and psychological roots. This paper will discuss the sound gestures of those familiar and expressive language phenomena, such as sound synaesthesia, formulaic utterances and syllables. By analyzing the sound gestures of these interesting language phenomena, we will search for the simplicity of speech sound and prove that the simplicity is an instinct of human being in people's articulatory behavior. In the long process of evolution, this propensity of the simplicity for human beings has been inherited from generation to generation as a unique property.
