| 《étapes》is a high-level publication of design published by French PYRSMYD Publishing House. It has been 14 years since the initial issue was published,《étapes》faithfully records the progress of the development of the graphic design at the present age during last ten years. The decade is the important period of computers interfere in graphic design. The world graphic design changed the trend for several times.《étapes》was to come to being in this special period and continuously observe, record and report to different design events all over the world. It is a research material with high reference values. This article researches the publication of《étapes》of ten years, does a systematic analysis to the changed of styles of graphic design at present with different research methods, such as arrangement, analysis , generalization.The research in the article can be divided into two parts. First, I started from studying《étapes》itself. Compare the covers, mastheads, inner pages and paginations and so on, with the purpose of finding the inner reason that caused minute change of book design. Then, I researched the contents that published and considered by《étapes》during the last 10 years, generalized the main trend and styles and tried to find the reason why the trend was formed and get a conclusion.This article has the two main parts as the basic thought, hoping that it will be worth to the present graphic designer and professionals. |
