Grandparents Investment Evolutionary Psychology Research

The traditional "big family" will be less and less with the development of the society. In the future that can foresee, the couple hood, parenthood, grandparenthood will become the main family relationships. So it seems very important to do research on grandparenthood. Several researchers have already paid attention to the grandparental investment, notably the evolutionary psychological perspective.Inclusive fitness theory indicates that the natural selection inclined toward the specialties that can urge the genes of organism to spread, but ignore whether organism can breed posterity directly or not. The relatives have the copy of our gene, so we would give care to the relatives. The parental investment (the investment to children) is just a special example. This theory perspective provides a new way of thinking to the research of grandparental investment.This paper uses the questionnaire; take the M junior high school students in Jiangsu Province, investigate the personal background, infective factors about grandparental investment, validate the hypotheses, and open out that how the adapting mechanism affect the grandparental investment with the view of evolutionary psychology.This paper is divided into five chapters: Chapter 1 is introduction, introduces the background of research and the research problem; Chapter 2 reviews other subjects' theories about grandparental investment, introduces the way of evolutionary psychology and the studies that have already done; Chapter 3 introduces the research contents, hypotheses, meanings, designed the research method; Chapter 4 combines the questionnaire result, describing the related data; Chapter 5 is conclusion and thinking, summarizes the perspectives of the paper, verifies the research assumption, introduces the shortages of the research, and expatiate the apocalypse from the research.
