Relatives'investment is one of the important research topics of evolutionary psychology. On the one hand, evolutionary psychology believes that the degrees of genetic similarity determine the fluctuation range of closeness between relatives. On the other hand, it believes that the investment will be different as a result of different paternity uncertainties, reproductive strategies, relationships and so on among relatives possessing analogous degree of genetic similarity. These psychological differences and characteristics in the course of human evolution can be reflected by studying the different investment of ancestors and fathers second degree relatives, helping to validate and enrich the relative investment theory of the evolutionary psychology. On the basis of the evolutionary psychology ideas, and combined with existing research results, this study brings all second degree relatives with analogous degree of genetic similarity into the survey of relative investment, including uncle, aunt, grandfather, grandmother etc. Self-made questionnaire is used to measure subjects separately. The formal "second degree relatives' investment questionnaire" was finished through the process of summarizing documents, investigating of open-ended questionnaire, preliminary investigation, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis etc. Using the formal questionnaires,501 individuals were tested and the main conclusions are as follows:(1) Second-degree relatives'investment can be divided into two dimensions:life care and spiritual investment.(2) The "second degree relatives'investment questionnaire" has a good reliability and validity, which can be used as an effective tool to measure the second-degree relatives investment.(3) From the point of total investment of relatives, the results is in line with evolutionary psychology theory assumptions:matrilineal second degree relatives invest more than patrilineal second degree relatives; females second degree relatives invest more than males second degree relatives; ancestors second degree relatives invest more than fathers second degree relatives.(4) From the point of factors affecting the level of investment, there are several factors as follows:First, the more subjects of the same generation, the smaller investment they receive.Second, parents'seniority order of the subjects affect the investment--- the children of the eldest parents receive more investment than the youngest's, children of other ranks receive the smallest.Third, the investor's age also affect the level of investment.Investors who are in growth stage invest most, followed by a post-reproductive stage investors, and finally the investors whose children have grown up.(5) In the context of patrilineal society, China's second-degree relatives' investment has its own characteristics:mainly manifested in the fact that male subjects are received a greater investment.
