Beijing is the center of modern China's politics and culture. With the historical evolution of industrialization urbanization and open-door policy, the municipal economic and infrastructural construction create a multitude of employment opportunities, which continuously attract tremendous shifting population. The majority of these migrant workers would stay in Beijing for quite a long period of time, sometimes stay in Beijing with all their family members. They are the direct participants of Beijing's economic and cultural life, they are much of the constructors of Beijing.The most of the shifting population are from different Chinese dialectic regions. During the process of their getting adapted to the urban life, their languages and linguistic use conditions would change subsequently. Sichuan Province is a huge output province of migrant workers. Immigration would bring various bothers and hinders of their social, cultural and lingual areas to this migrant workers from Sichuan in Beijing. Their language use issues in getting adapted to the city and relevant linguistic attitude issues are concentrated representative of all Chinese migrant workers.This paper set migrant workers and small vendors as interviewees to survey their linguistic abilities, language usages and lingual attitudes before and after come to Beijing, forecasting the trends.The investigation results show that the linguistic ability in Mandarin listening, expression and pronunciation or usage frequency of Sichuan migrant workers and small vendors have greatly progressed. In language usage, they spoke Sichuani before they come to Beijing mainly. They seldom used Mandarin. After their coming to Beijing, they simultaneously use both Sichuani and Mandarin. The two language varieties divided on usage occasions. Sichuani dialect is mainly used between family members and Sichuani friends, who are more friendly on informal occasions. On public occasions, and talking to other people and on formal occasions, they mainly choose Mandarin. Sichuani dialect has gradually become an internal communication language. However, Mandarin approaches to an external communication language.In the area of lingual attitude, interviewees by objective emotion think that Sichuani dialect is dearer than Mandarin, but Mandarin is easy to hear. In the social status and practical areas, Mandarin is thought to be of higher social class and more practice. In the similar areas, Sichuani dialect is thought to be quite low. In evaluation of function, they give higher appraise to Sichuani dialect than to Mandarin. In the learning comprehension area, 64% of Sichuani migrant workers think that learning Mandarin is easy or fairly easy. Their acceptance degree to Mandarin is not high. Only less than express that they very like or fairly like. More than a half show that learning Mandarin is just for the purpose of communication. Their expectance to themselves is not high, while is high to their children. They require their children must learn speaking Mandarin. Meanwhile, 85% of them hope that their children can keep Sichuani dialect.Besides, I have found the group linguistic variation, bi-lingual phenomena, and so on existing in interviewees in my investigations. I have pointed out their bewilderments of contradictions between their loyalty to their mother tongue and obtaining recognition of using Mandarin, and their dilemma in getting used to urban language. Meanwhile, I have depicted my own perspectives in the issue of relationship between Mandarin and Sichuani.
