Abstract/Summary:
There is an abundance of cultural heritage in the long history of our country, among which, the great sites being an important type have drawn extensive concern in the academe. Whether they can be properly conserved or not, the great sites are of significant importance to the research on historical culture, the economic development of the region and even the country. They are not only spiritual wealth of the Chinese people, but also common heritage of mankind. To draw up a conservation master plan is the key step during the conservation process. Discussions on its theoretical approaches appear to be extremely important at the beginning of the conservation. This paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the conservation master plan of Liangzhu archaeological site which is a typical one among Chinese great sites in Yuhang District of Hangzhou. Then the role and influence of archaeology,exhibition and management are pointed out. And in the end, the author puts forward some proposals on archaeology,exhibition and management, hoping they could offer better service to the conservation of the great sites.
