In American-Chinese Literature, Maxine Hong Kingston and Amy Tan are two of the writers. Woman Warrior and The Joy Luck Club are written about American-Chinese women and tell the whole history of Chinese immigration. Two works have shaped three kinds of women images. Firstly, inhabitant women: those who lived in the Chinese mainland who lost self and became a victim of society. Secondly, migratory women: those who were born in Chinese mainland and later moved to the United States for various reasons. They received the influence of the New Culture Movement, the main sense of personality and independence has begun to be awakened in them. They dare to against the established fate. Not only they carry on the traditionally strong and thrift, but also have the confidence, determination and intellectuality. Thirdly, "ABC women": American-born descendants. They are the real Americans, therefore the strong conflict between Chinese and American culture was embodied in their mind. They experience such special course in searching for self and the self-shaping. The author believes these "ABC women" who place the American-Chinese women's ideal, which connects two kinds of culture, does not exclude any of the parties; both capture the essence of the two. Both shows their spirit of oriental culture, but also have the independence, self-awareness, enter into the mainstream American society with a unique personal charisma. This article holds that the success is inseparable with the author's unique writing strategy in shaping the women image. The two works both use the first-person perspective and "saying the story", both reform and transplant the story (the story of a mother and her daughter). "Saying the story" is not an education from mother to daughter for passing the Chinese unique traditional culture, but also reaches understanding between mothers and daughters for women to obtain the right to speak and to build self-esteem. The different choices of the narrative model make the main character obtain the right to speak, issue their own voice, complete the narrative authority, and shape the successful women image.
