Chapter 3 elaborates the basic principles and meanings of the Moderate Thinking, especially the last part of this Chapter introduces four basic characteristics: 1) it explains Islam from multi-perspectives and multi-levels; 2) it balances and stables all the Islamic thinking and keeps trace with the time; 3) it maintains the convention and advocates the innovation; 4) it views the world moderately. Chapter 4, starting from realistic point, demonstrates the impact the Moderate Thinking has exerted on the modern world.The scholars in China have not paid much attention on the latest development trend of Islamic thinking, and there are few scholars touch upon the Moderate Thinking, one of the dominant thinking of the Islamic world. Therefore, this research topic is of novelty. The paper bases on the original Arabic works of Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, translations of his works by Chinese scholars and other research works by scholars, and gives an introduction to and makes basic research of the contents and characteristics of the Moderate Thinking, to some extent it fills in the gaps of the research on the Moderate Thinking. Henceforth, it is new in terms of materials and opinions. The Moderate Thinking of Yusuf Al-Qaradawi has great significance on the co-development of human, on the lasting peace of the world, on the construction of the morality, on the promotion of political multipolarity, and on the maintenance of the culture-diversity of the world.
