Analysis Of Chinese Watercolor Artistic Creation, Cultural Character

A good painting should be one with a profound connotation, and reflects a certain typical social phenomenon with its sharp, vivid art image. An outstanding piece of works of art could show the profound self-cultivation of the artist, who cultivated himself from the long-term painstaking researches and practices.The creation of Watercolor painting today appears to be wide in themes and diverse in styles. Under the present situation of Chinese watercolor art, every artist would consider, what should be the cultural character of our Chinese Watercolor, thus enhance the spirit and the cultural connotation of Chinese watercolor. In this paper, the author tried to analyze the needed cultural character of Chinese watercolor from the aspects of the existing problems, the water scale, the national character, the mood and spirit of the painting, and the self-cultivation of the artists, aiming to discuss and explore the watercolor study with colleagues.
