Hebei Folk Evolution And Development

Folk song is one of music patterns which has been spontaneously created by the masses of the people and gradually developed in the way of improvisation and being passed from mouth to mouth.It is the first that got formed among all the patterns of folk music.Chinese folk song has had various names in history.It has a long history because folk song in China originated as "pure folk" from the people's working and lives.And to excellent folk songs,"evolution and development" is an essential part.Only in this way can folk song be passed from generation to generation.This thesis starts from the introduction of the diversity which Hebei folk songs present in style and subject.Then it gives a full analysis of the evolution and development of Hebei folk songs in the respect of rhythm,tune,scale and mode.This thesis includes three parts.Part 1 is an overview of folk song in which the feature of Hebei folk songs' style and subject is introduced.Part 2 is devoted to the development of Hebei folk songs in rhythm and tune.Part 3 is about the development of Hebei folk songs in scale and mode.Besides,the thesis briefly deals with the influence of Hebei folk songs on the creation of Bebei contemporary music.In the last part the writer draws a conclusion that folk song is the source for other artistic forms to get fully developed,which deserves our attention and cherishment.We are supposed to keep the unique characteristic of Hebei folk songs and learn from its artistic expression and experience so as to improve our artistic creation and promote the development of Chinese folk music.
