On Painting Women

The starting point of this study is to find the orientation of my own painting.Many people who have ever seen my works say that my works has " femine trait ",but what is " femine trait"? With this question,I conculted the related sources about Guan Daosheng and Shen Sirentang,think about the phenomenon that feminie see flower while masculine see fish,and find that femine traits include soft curves,warm colors,delicacy of feeling and a sense of peace. Femine trait has its positive side,but it turn into some problems.The curve is too soft,that is called infirmness;the feeling is too subtle,that is called weakness;the sense is too quiet,that is called stiffness.These problems often happen in female painters' subconscious.Therefore,women painters should pay attention to the artist masculine and motion,so as to achieve balance of yin and yang,the harmony of peace and motion.As a female painter,we should be aware of our own passivity and diverse,foster strengths and circumvent weaknesses to devolope our individuality actively in our painting creations.
