The Evolution Of Onmyodo From Yayoyi To Heian In Japan

The purpose of this paper is to examine Onmyodo of Japan from Yayoi to Heian.Onmyodo is one of the cultural achievements in ancient Japan,which is established on the combination of the culture between Chinese Yin and Yang and Japanese native culture.Based on such theory,this article will be discussed in these parts.First,the introduction part will discuss the reason and meaning of choosing this topic,also it will introduce the current situation inner China.Secondly,the body part.This part includes four main contents.First,it will give a summaries on the development and connotation of Chinese Yinyang,which could offer a reference for the later analysis on Japanese Onmyo theory.The second part will analyze the Japanese Onmyo theory.It will study the periods from late Yayoi age to late Kofun age.Based on research in the historical data and relics,it will give the track and specific meaning of early Japanese Onmyo theory.Thirdly,paper will dissect the dawn of Onmyodo.The dawn talked about here is a concept of procedural,which is to define the prime process of building Onmyodo in Japan.There will be two sectors in this part.One is to analyze how Chinese Yinyang entered Japan and its unique path.The second is to analyze how Japanese fuss the doctrine of Yinyang.This part will put its focus on the Japanese ancient tomb mural as well as the policy back then.It will detailedly analyze how the Chinese Yinyang affected them and how the Japanese culture combined with.Meanwhile,this will also determine that the establishment of official Onmyoryou was the sign and played an important role in the basement of Onmyodo.The fourth chapter will state the development of Onmyodo.It will research in the historical data to emphasize that Onmyoryou and Onmyoji raised their reputation to make Onmyordo the mainstream culture from the Nara Age to the Heian Period.Especially in the Heian Period,it engaged a huge influence on the royal life,which showed the development reached its peak.In all,the thirdly part will be the most important one among the article.Finally,in postscript part,thesis will summarizes the status of Onmyodo in ancient Japan,and generalizes some unsolved problems in body in the hope of helping the further research of it.This article has two innovation points.One is Onmyo theory of ancient Japan,which could be considered as the beginning of Onmyodo.Another is the relationship between the ancient Japanese ideal about color and the order of Five Virtue in Twelve Level Cap and Rank System.The paper will research in the relics and data to sum up the development of Japanese Onmyodofrom its Yayoi Period to the Heian Period.It will help to enrich the view of Japanese studies.
