Mencius Aesthetic And Ideological System

Mencius,as an important representative of the Confucian thought after following the Confucius,was named the Second sage.His thoughts are studied by later scholars,but his esthetics thought is studied relatively few compared to his other thoughts.Generally speaking, the Mencius esthetics research mainly presents two characteristics presently:firstly,it is studied as a part of China ancient times esthetics history,there was no Mencius esthetics monograph; secondly,it was studied from a single point of view,some of the research is about his personality esthetics or about his Literary esthetics;some is about his esthetics proposition that is "enrichment is beauty".The previous studies are lack of the whole the general survey research.Of course there were many achievements about his personality esthetics thought and the literary esthetics thought.But his political thought,economic thought and so on were not studied from the angle of social esthetics,so this article author tries to study the Mencius esthetics thought from this angle.And study his esthetics thought wholly from the social esthetics thought,the personality esthetics thought and the literary esthetics.The introduction of this article reorganizes the study of Mencius by the time.The conclusion induces the Mencius's esthetics system and points out the significance of studying Mencius's esthetics.The main part of this article divides into three parts.The first part is the social esthetics thought.The author studies it from political esthetics thought,economical esthetics thought and education esthetics thought in the purpose of explaining that Mencius's social ideal pursue has the transcendence.The second part is personality aesthetics.The author studies it from the beauty of human nature,self-cultivation,independence,independence and flexibility in the purpose of showing Mencius's endeavor to the construction of personality esthetics.The third part is literary aesthetics.The author studies it from zhi ren lun shi theory,yi yi ni zhi theory and zhi yah yang qi theory in the purpose of elaborating Mencius's literary criticism thought.
