It refers to the basis of the comics which has been completed adaptation of the series, using of audio-visual combination of modeling tools and live mainly in the form of plays to put the characters, situations, plot elements, such things in the comic books through re-creation to the TV screen. The TV series adapted from comic not only brings the audience a more fresh and rich visual experience, but also extends the artistic expression of TV series using the"interesting principles"instead of the"objective principles". At present, the TV series production of the Mainland is about 13,000 sets, as around half of total the television broadcasting. At the same time, however, scarce in types and lack of innovative spirit are especially evident problems of TV series creation in mainland. As a new type of TV series, the TV series adapted from comic puts up on the television monitor more often in recent years, triggered a wide-ranging influence and with a bright prospects both of commerce and research. The current study to the domestic TV series adapted from comic in the Mainland is still in a relatively lagging position.This thesis consists of three main parts:Chapter 1 is about the essential quality and characteristic of Asian TV series adapted from comic; In Chapter 2, to classify the TV series adapted from comic by different perspectives and to analyze the characteristics of each type, and the developments of this TV series from all parts of Asia; In Chapter 3,according to the analysis from lots of examples, trying to find some experiences and inspires suitable for the domestic TV series adapted from comic, and Seeking to get some constructive and practical proposals.On the whole, as the world embraces the age of vision culture and Animation industry, this thesis hopes to choose some influential typical works as templates to analyze the basic characteristics of the main types and adaptation strategies of the Asian TV series adapted from comic. Referring to the experience of other countries and regions in Asian, with an objective analysis of such series in Mainland of China, this thesis drew the following conclusions:In the field of creative practice, domestic TV series adapted from comic especially the local works are scarce. In the field of academic research, only a few articles devoted to this type of TV series with a hasty generalization. Because of the professional for practicing and researching get limited viewpoint and the local comic is short of good works, domestic TV series adapted from comic are in an awkward predicament. We need to obey the art rule, and recognize our audience. The concepts of TV series should be transformed, and the job is to seek out the advanced experience of the excellent profession of the same trade, sum it up and popularize it. To produce a group of excellent series for the audience is an assignment for the persons who engage in TV series work.
