Tranquil Imagery

Eduardo Naranjo is a contemporary famous Spanish surrealist master,and a seeker of combination of traditional techniques and modern ideas.This paper dissected his painting language by interpreting the inheritance relationship between him and the European realist tradition and Spanish arts,and explained his spirits of figurative art from the perspective of the subconscious.This paper is divided into four parts to describe and analyze Eduardo Naranjo's painting art,and systematically interprets in detail Naranjo from tried a variety of styles at the beginning to formed his own features at last.Part one focuses on Spain's cultural heritage and the status quo analysis of contemporary art,and reviews modern artistic trends' impacts on Naranjo.Part two researches how Eduardo Naranjo's styles were formed:his painting language characteristics,his painting course,his own painting styles,and overall understanding of him combined all these things with the time characteristics.Based upon Surrealism,part three makes a comparison between Naranjo and other surrealist artists and modern representational artists,significantly analyzes Naranjo's super-realism and dislocation realism works from Freud's psychoanalysis,and summarizes his painting language features and implication.Part four focuses on the modernity of Naranjo's figurative painting,the impacts on the domestic artists from his creative and innovative paintings,and the development and current situation of China's figurative paintings.
