Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein" has been recognized as the first science fiction and Frankenstein's monster was seen as the first man-made being in the world, then the manufacture and transformation of human life has become one major theme of science fiction, and there are more and more man-made beings in the science fictions. Human beings broke the basic concepts that the God created life by man-made beings, and human beings become the creator, that is the performance of human beings'self-recognition.In this paper, I use theory of Hegel and Alexander Kojeve on the recognition to analyze the relationship between human beings and man-made beings. Hegel discusses the struggle of mankind for the recognition; Alexander Kojeve went on to imply that everyone has the desire for recognition. Man-made beings also have the desire for recognition, but they aren't given the same rights as their creator. Human beings'attitude towards man-made beings shows the human's reaction to others. They're been seen as a variety of threats to human, that can be summed up as hostile to outsiders and evil image. In order to obtain the recognition of human, man-made beings have made unremitting efforts. The process that man-made beings pursuit to be recognized by human, confirms the requirement that each human being's desire to be recognized, especially those marginalized people. That shows the good and the bad of the human nature. The true, the good and the beautiful have always been the humanity's basic principles, which is also a way of human's self-identity.In this paper, I mainly analysis the course of man-made beings to pursuit recognition from human beings, and the exposition is divided into three chapters: In Chapter I I briefly explain the theory of Hegel and Alexander Kojeve on the recognition , and use it to analyze Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein". The scientist had initially meant to create the center status of human in the universe by science. But the scientist created a terrible hideous monster-Frankenstein, then Frankenstein and his monster had a cruel fight for recognition. In the Chapter II I mainly analyze the science fictions which have the same theme of "Frankenstein", especially the course that man-made beings (main the robot) have been pursuing recognition by human. Man-made beings mainly through two methods to obtain the recognition of human beings: the assimilation and the struggle. In the Chapter III I explains that man-made is a image of mankind. Man-made beings are actually the mirrors of humanity, and human beings through it to achieve their self-recognition. But human beings fail to recognize that they're alienating by the science and technology. Human beings should treat the science and man-made beings correctly and responsibly for the whole of mankind...
