This paper is a comparative research on the The Studio of True Connoisseurship(Shanghai Museum) and the The Studio of True Connoisseurship(National Museum of China) by Wen Zhengming,the goal is to analyze the different meanings in these two works, and to understood Wen Zhengming's attitude to the art in different time, and to discover the reason. These two charts look extremely close from the theme, therefore this article also attempts to excavate the different meanings of the works under the close theme,and the the close form.The Studio of True Connoisseurship have its special form in the works about connoisseurship,these features are the breakthrough points of the research. when analysing the different meanings of the two works,this article first compares the forms of these two chart ,then analyzes the same and the different meanings, as well as the relations of these meanings separately with Wen Zhengming, then discovers the different meanings which Wen Zhengming put in two works. the different meanings also reflect his attitude towards the"Dao"and the"Art"on different time.The research indicates the different attitudes of Wen Zhengming on the relation of the "Dao"and the"Art"in the different periods. The Studio of True Connoisseurship(Shanghai Museum)displays that Wen Zhengming put great emphasis on the "Dao", but in The Studio of True Connoisseurship(National Museum of China),he put great emphasis on the "Art" . the different attitudes is due to his character,his experience,and the attitude of the literati on same time treating the recluse.Through the study of the different meaning of two works,I begin to have the suspicion on some former research conclusion about the garden theme. The viewpoint of This article is that the garden theme is not all for expressing the ideal of recluse, the case research may break through the great conclusion.
