Alexandria ? Robert Schumann (Robert Alexander Schumann ,1810-1856) is an important German composer, as well as a pianist and critic. He had made outstanding contribution both in music criticism and the development of music works. The plentiful life and the influence from romanticism literature formed his dual character, the illusion, which was reflected in his music criticism and works. Eusebius and Florestan, the two of the central figures in his inner world, often appear in his music criticism and music works. Because of the illusion of his personality, his works are full of personal charm.Davidsbundlertanze (Op. 6),which this paper centers on, is the Schumann's typical works. Eusebius and Florestan, both the two key figure,represent the two different sides of his nature in his fantasy Davidsbundlertanze. Schumann described the two figure lively with various musical melody and marked the end of each bagatelle with the letters which stands for the two figure. He unfolded his plentiful dual fancy character through his 18 bagatelles.In this paper, the author sets the analysis in three chapters on the background of the performance annotation of Davidsbundlertanze. The first chapter is a brief introduction of Schumann's life and Davidsbundlertanze creating background; the second chapter emphasizes on the analysis of Davidsbundlertanze of the 18 bagatelles and further interprets the creating techniques as well as the emotional expression, thus grasps this musical work; the last chapter is about the annotation of each piece of Davidsbundlertanze and then view them as a whole. The author turn the own annotation into this paper in the hope of further improving the proforming features after a complete study.
