Schubert Franz is a representative of romanticism music in the early 19th century. The largest number of his works are sonatas, which also best represent his music style. Therefore, his piano sonatas are of irreplaceable value studying on great musician Schubert in early romantic period.The thesis chooses "Piano sonata in a minor("D.784)be a research object, which is the first work in the mid-term of Schubert sonata composition. By using the method of music analysis and personal performance skills, the thesis carries out a comparatively detailed study on the sonata from "music analysis","music style"and"performance analysis"in two parts. In the first part, the form structure, tonality and theme of the sonata are analyzed descriptively by using the method of music analysis. In the second part, the interpretation of music image and the style holding of the three movements are elaborated based on the music style.The three movements of this work are different but unified in style.The characteristics of the balance of form and emotion, the development of idea and the piano performance techniques show the ever-growing maturity of Schubert personal style. Through studying on "Piano sonata in a minor"(D.784), the author summarizes the characteristics of the music style and performance handling of the sonata, and expects it to provide certain value of performance reference on holding the performance style of Schubert piano sonatas.
