Franz Schubert is known as the last excellent master of classicism while his composition style is belonged to classical-romanticism. He is the one who started a new era by inheriting and innovating the classical music. Schubert had broken the routine of classical music and brought a profound impact to sonata in the second half of romanticism. Piano Sonata No. 16 In A Minor (D.845 Op.42 1825) was the most attached one during his lifetime because of its dramatization and representativeness. The paper aims to show the value of the sonata via analyzing the musical form and musical composition of it objectively.
