Along with the all-round development of quality education, the development of the college students in an all-round way has become an important topic. As an important part of quality education, music education plays a role in quality education because of its pleasantness, aesthetic value and acceptableness. Music education is special as a branch from ordinary colleges and universities in industrial institutes. Based upon the characteristic of the specialized courses setting in industrial institutes, social sciences subjects are prevailing. The demand for studying social subjects is stronger. Music education shows human care to the college students according to the spirit"human foremost"and develops the ability of aesthetic feeling and appreciation, cultivates morality feeling, creates the spirit of innovation, brings forward the all-round and harmonious development in body and mind ,therefore leads to the communication and inter-supplement, improves the comprehensive quality of the students in industrial institutes, which plays an important role in bringing up a qualified student in modern times.This essay gives a poll about the view in music teaching, teaching management, teachers'quality, the students'awareness and demand for music.
