| Kie(?)lowski is one of the most important directors in contemporary Europe. His works are filled with philosophical reflection of modern people's exsiting condition. Not only the style is vivid, but also the connotation is rich. This thesis, from the the perspective of his movie-The Decalogue, mainly analyse how he uses movie language to do moral narration.The thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of "the thinker using camera to narrate" introduces Kie(?)lowski's life and creating process of The Decalogue. Following his family, education background and filmography is the discussion about the formation and development of his views on movie. Then the birth of The Decalogue is introduced, which includes the creating background, and its position in movie history and the internal relation with old religion doctrine "The Decalogue".The second chapter is the ethic narration of " The Decalogue", which analyzes the ten moives from the perspective of moral thinking and philosophical implication. Refering to the catholic doctrine "The Decalogue", the contingency of human existence and the moral dilemma faced by the modern human beings are illustrated. At the same time, it points out the heavy pessimism included in the depth of his mind and heavy humanistic care for human's fate in such severe situation.The third chapter introduces the movie language of The Decalogue, which analyze the language features of the ten moives from the aspects of style and technique. And it begins with the stye of docummentary and analyzes the success of the film in the reality. Secondly, it is bounding with the language. In the film the image carries symbolism , the details express very well and the props also can help people to express their emotions. At last, it expounds application features of its color and light ray. |
