| This research examines the sculpt difference between Barbie and modern Asian Ball-jointed doll .They are the most popular dolls among children and young adults around the world.In 2009 Barbie is 50 years old and BJD is 10 years old. Many celebrations were held for their anniversary. The"Barbie phenomenon"and"BJD phenomenon"shouldn't be ignored. Because both of them are representation of American popular culture and Japanese fashion. By investigating the two aspects, the cute values and the Golden section of young adult faces ,of the biology of human beauty, clearly that Barbie doll's beauty (Fashion Royalty ) lead to Golden section values. And Japanese Ball-jointed dolls (Super dollfie) leads to cuteness. By investigating both dolls'own cultural, technology and function, the author found that Fashion Royalty Barbie was influenced by"Hollywood Fashion"and American Middle Class taste. The SD ball-jointed doll was inspired by Japanese comic style, Japanese traditional cuteness culture and Japanese Fashion, which combined the values of kawaii (Japanese cuteness) and kakkoii (Japanese coolness). The two dolls'dress and accessories were fully expressed their own culture, as well as the US and Japanese fashion. In a word, both dolls'attractive appearances and the culture and fashion the stand for caused their popularity around the world.FR Barbie is not only viewed as the typical fashion icon, but also a symbol of US Middle Class culture, which is worldwide today.
