"Central Council" refers to the specific forms of the operating imperial politics in the absolute monarchy society , including a state of the power system which makes imperial power as the center, serves and obeys to imperial power, and the interest groups, as well as the evolution of this state. In this thesis, central politics of Xi Zong and Zhao Zong are research center, evolution process of Xi Zong and Zhao Zong's central council in late Tang are focused. This thesis is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the significance of the topic, relevant academic research, and the research materials and research methods of this thesis. The purpose is to make readers have full understanding and grasp of entire research dynamic state of related topics. The second part discusses the central council before Xi Zong. It first retrospects the change of central council in Tang imperial court, so that readers could have an intuitive understanding of central system evolution in late Tang. Then it points out that the cnetral system in this period has shown signs of instability, which makes bedding for the following research. The third part expounds the evolution process of Xi Zong political council based on related materials records and drawing lessons from the results of predecessors. It shows that: Xi Zong succeeded to the throne in his early years, which procides chances to greatly inflate for the eunuches in this period. Tian Lingzi holded great power, and after his seizing of some imperial power, the eunuches were in a dominant position in the distribution pattern of central power. This state completely broke the long-term existing political situation in late Tang Dynasty, in which the imperial power, the minister power and the eunuch power constrain each other and contend with each other. However, this pattern changed again with the Huang Chao Uprising and the involvement of Fan Zhen military bloc. Fan Zhen bloc had formed a large number of new warlords during the suppression of Huang Chao uprising. After Zhu Zi chaos, the Fan Zhen bloc involved in the power strife among imperial power, minister power and eunuch power with the form of force, which makes later political strife more complicated, and adds more unstable factors to central council of Tang Dynasty. The binary system which was formed in Xi Zong period and later Tang was in name only. The fourth part monographs central politics of Zhao Zong Dynasty. Although the young Zhao Zong was upholded by powerful eunuches, he adopted a series of strategy to strengthen imperial power after his ruling and set about to adjust the central system. But as the inevitable direction of imperial decline, as well as continuing expansion of Shen Ce lieutenant and senator's power, the situation that eunuches holded great power in Zhao Zong Dynasty had deepened. In the strife between Nan Ya and Bei Si, no matter Nan Ya or Bei Si, had lost independent political status, and had degenerated into a spokesman for the powerful Fan Zhen bloc in the imperial court. This is the biggest difference of Nan Ya and Bei Si strife between this period and the past. The emergence of this phenomenon is a symbol for sharp decline of political status of the Royal Tang. It lost the significance as the central government, and the Tang Dynasty became extinct ultimately. The fifth part is the end of this thesis which gives summary of the whole article and points out the research significance of this article. There are two innovation points in this thesis work: First, it starts with a perspective from political evolution, then it has an in-depth exploration in politics of late Tang which was neglected by the academic field. This thesis systematically discusses the political situation of Xi Zong and Zhao Zong's dynasty for the first time, and strengthens weak points in the political history research. Second, this thesis has analyzed all kinds of political forces which have impact on Xi Zong and Zhao Zong dynasty specifically, puts forward some new views, and strengthens the understanding of political history of late Tang Dynasty.
