Johannes Brahms (1833—1897) was one of the best composer of Germany during the 19th century who has extremely outstanding contribution to the European music that time. He has composed of many splendid works full of philosophy and preciseness, which was under the impact of the classicalism and romanticism music. Among which, the most important part was those piano music.The late piano pieces was composed by him in 1893, during his late period of composition, which is very much matured typed of his style and of course is one of the most important material to study of the characteristic of Brahms's music. This article analyzed on the music and musical performance of the Brahms piano pieces OP. 118 and briefed the characteristic of his music, discussed the close connection between his music and classicalism. And we will get to know him more deeply, so that we can explain the profound connotation and characteristic of his music duringPlay.
