As the world-class writer who was born in Russia and whose youth spent in Russia , Vladimir Nabokov's all creation had been deeply marked with the brand of Russian traditional culture and traditional aesthetics. Therefore, it is one key to understand the spirit in the Russian literature of his creative which leads us to master his all creation ultimate. The polyphonic theory was the first presented by the Russian philosopher and literary theory whose name was Mikhail Bakhtin in his seminal work Problems of Dostoevsky's Poetics. The polyphonic theory is not only a novelistic theory, but also a kind of philosophy which was a good way for Bakhtin to revolt against the authoritative saying and"human beings'materializing"in a society of monologue. By taking it,this paper aims to reinterpret Vladimir Nabokov's works from the perspective of the polyphonic theory. Nabokov's novels being examined as a whole, the readers may find that he has been exploring a variety of narrating strategies. His most works are a great polyphonic novel. This paper examines the novel's polyphonic features and artistic effects in terms of three areas about subjectivity, dialogism and indeterminacy. Firstly, analyze the relationship between Nabokov's and Dostoevsky's polyphonic novels. Part two expounded the Dionysian feature in Nabokov's novels. Part three revealed the dialogical language features in his novels. By Nabokov's practice, it developed the coverage power of polyphony theory, enriched its forms and idea. And By this means , enlightened American black humour and even European postmodernism literature.
