E.M.Forster, who takes up an important position in literary world, is one of the premiere England novelists in the 1900s.The theme of Forster's novels is multiplex and complicated, and could be interpreted from various of point of view. So this thesis will try to analyze the novels of Forster from a particular angle that Forster himself is a homosexual, and induce the technique of writing in four aspects by which Forster has managed to create the homosexual subtext under the mainstream heterosexual text. Firstly, Forster switches the sexual gender of the object of gaze by transferring the reader's gaze from the female roles to the male, and a gay male readership is specially being targeted in the alteration of gaze. Secondly, Forster borrows the pattern of the traditional love triangle in which he actually arranges a female role and a male role to fall in love at the same time with the other male role. Thirdly, Forster starts using the narrative pattern of male connection so as to prove that an undivided close connection between men could be built regardless of any difference. Lastly, Forster embeds some implicit details such as literary and article quotation and special scene in the text to contribute to a homosexual aura. The homosexual subtext in Forster's novels conveys secret and subtle homosexual love, and provide totally new angles and thinking for interpreting the novels, and meanwhile reveals the deepest meaning of the text and Forster's true intention of writing.
