Study Of The Status And Function Of Site Management Agencies

Great sites are an important constitution of the Ancient China Civilization. It's the best exemplifies of the heritage of China. Currently, some of the Great sites present in China's World Heritage List and prepared List, Yin Ruins in Anyang sites, Han Chang'an city site, Koguryo Tombs and Tombs of the King City, Liangzhu ruins, for example. Since the year of 1990, unprecedented urbanization and modernization has swept the whole country, most Great Sites are facing a very urgent problem of protection.For a long time, the daily management of the Great Sites depends on the heritage custody and the Site Museum, this protection pattern mainly relays on the Coordination of the Heritage sector and the related functions. This pattern plays an important role in China's Great Sites protection. However, there is still a long way for the management and protection of China's Great Sites. According to the characteristics of the Great Sites protection, building a whole management system related to the Economic conditions will be significantly helpful for the project of the Great Sites protection.This thesis focuses on the protection and agenizes situation of 100 Great sites of the China Eleventh Five-Year Plan. Researching on the type of the Great sites and the institutional status, this thesis analyses the current situation of Great sites protection in China. It evaluates the function of sites protection agencies. Based on above research, this thesis sums up the problems and difficult nowadays, shares the experiences in the developed areas and give the policy provisions for the further work of the Great Sites protection.
