Discussion On Wang Xiaobo's Essays

Although there are disputes over the status of Wang Xiaobo in contemporary literature,he has become an inevitable focus.Based on previous studies,the paper endeavors in the study of his essay,which mainly focus on how his idea acts in accordance with the unique literary style.This paper is divided into three parts. Lu Xun's essays created by the modern century has gone through the course,Contemporary writer Wang Xiaobo in his Essays on the course of a certain degree of continuity into the veins of Lu Xun,Like Lu Xun, Wang Xiaobo has the same style conscious on the pursuit of style.At the beginning,researchs about Wang Xiaobo'works are introduced and the insight of this thesis is also given.In the first chapter, the unique value of Wang Xiaobo's essays and its distinctive meaning to contemporary China are firstly affirmed by discerning the creations of Chinese Literature since the nineties of 20th century.On the following, his distinctive narrative, the value of his liberalism and clues about his pursuit of freedom are discussed,which is mainly based on the first-person narrative in his works and his special role as a free-lancer writer. The second chapter analyzes the resources of the component factors in Wang Xiaobo's essays,which includes careful logic reasoning, experience rationalism of Bertrand Russell, negative liberalism, and the style of the ideological heritage Based the facts, the rational and critical spirit of Wang Xiaobo's essay are further explored. The third chapter, which is from the unique language charm of Wang Xiaobo's essay, explores his defamiliar and humorous style of writing which has a critical importance to his expression.Finally, the unique charm of his essay and his special significance in the contemporary literary world are summarized.
