Wang Xiaobo is an "alien" existence in the history of China literature, not in the mainstream cultural circle, but occupies a place in the history of Chinese modern and contemporary literature. His novella "the golden age" won the prize,he resigned from his teaching post in 1992,and in 1993 he has created the first novel "looking for Wushuang ",but unfortunately he has not been published before he die. After Wang Xiaobo's death,Huacheng Publishing House published a collection of three long-length articles," Looking for Wushuang "," Hongfu Night Run " and " Wanshou Temple ".Taking Wang Xiaobo's novel collection "Bronze Age" as the starting point for the study of Wang Xiaobo's novels, this paper analyzes Wang Xiaobo's novels from three angles: theme implication, spatial narrative,post-modern tendency, and reaffirms Wang Xiaobo's position of novels through careful interpretation. The thesis consists of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. The introduction part of the thesis discusses the significance of the study of Wang Xiaobo's novels and summarizes the overall research status of Wang Xiaobo's novels, from the perspective of life study and novel creation research. The main part of the thesis is divided into three chapters:The first chapter discusses the theme implication of Wang Xiaobo's novels. From the two aspects of the pursuit of freedom and the criticism of power, the protagonists in the “Bronze Age” have been pursuing freedom, including the freedom being human, the freedom to pursue love, the freedom to realize self-worth,but these freedoms have been suppressed by the supreme power, and then there is a second section of criticism of power, power is invisible, but the author's criticism is profound and powerful. The second chapter mainly uses the spatial narrative theory to understand and analyze the "Bronze Age ",discusses the narrative characteristics of the text from the perspective of physical space and text space.Through the use of these spatial narrative means,Wang Xiaobo's novels are not arranged according to the linear time order of traditional novels, but create a more open novel world with the help of space. The third chapter discusses the post-modernity tendency of "Bronze Age ",which is interpreted in detail from absurdity, uncertainty and intertextuality.Postmodernism had a great influence on the Chinese literary and art circles in the early 1990 s.At that time,a group of writers wrote works with a strong postmodernism style, and Wang Xiaobo's works also showed the tendency of postmodernism everywhere, from language to storyline to content, all of which had the shadow of postmodernism. The conclusion discusses the value of Wang Xiaobo's novel research: in recent years,Wang Xiaobo's research focuses on his award-winning "Golden Age" and "Silver Age ".In fact," Bronze Age" plays an important role in all Wang Xiaobo's workshas been the mature period of Wang Xiaobo's creation, and this collection is also ideologically in line with other collections. So through this article can let us understand and master all the works of Wang Xiaobo, and through the theme of the work to think about Wang Xiaobo's significance to us today.
