Historical Status Of The Traditional Textbook System In China And Its Contemporary Fate

Traditional textbook system, the system of basic Marxist philosophy principle based on "dialectical materialism and historical materialism " written by Stalin which is from the second section of chapter four in A Concise History of The Communist Party of the Soviet Union, occupies an extremely special and important position in modern intellectual history of China and acts as an indispensable theoretical premise in understanding China's development of social science and natural science. On the one hand, the textbook system constitutes the foundation of Marxist philosophy study in China's modern history of thought; on the other hand, it has a profound impact on domestic development of philosophical thought as a philosophical study paradigm, and has deeply influence on China's intellectual history as a basic thinking paradigm owing to specific social and historical conditions and ideological situations of modern Chinese society. Therefore it is necessary to reflect on its position in China's modern history of thought and its contemporary fate from the perspective of ideological history.
