The research of the prose on Mongolian newspaper and periodical in "17 years" is an important issue of contemporary Mongolian literature field. Dissertation collected the prose works published on the Mongolian newspapers and periodical in "17 years", by the analysis of the work's vector, genre, theme, and artistic, try to outline the development overview of "17years" Mongolian prose. Research on Mongolian modern prose there will be historical value, and expanding the research vision.The dissertation consists of the introduction, text (Chapter 1-3), conclusion and appendices. The dissertation using the method of literature and art, read six Mongolian newspapers and periodicals in "17 years", list systematically all the works.The main carrier of "17 years" prose was the newspaper and periodical. The main authors were journalists. The time condition, carriers and writers together made the "17 years" prose have strong news and political complexion, and mainly celebrate the spirit of the times. Thus, there have been so subject modeling features in the theme, structure, artistic. In addition, the emergence of essays, reportage promoted the development of Mongolian prose genre.After the founding of new China, a stable social environment provides a new space for the development of Mongolian prose. There is obviously different with the previous works in "17 years" Mongolian prose in the subject matter, content, performance practices, narrative mode, genre, and had made the new trend. The number of Mongolian prose of this period was huge, the subject matter and genre had been diversity, strongly been artistic. The writer expanded the ranks and it was the basis for the emergence of professional writers. "17 years" is an important stage in the Mongolian contemporary prose development. It has made significant contribution to the Mongolian contemporary literature.
