At the dawn of the twenty first century, as soon as the issues affecting the economy of art are advocating to the international market much fervor to lead the culture ensure its equilibrium in front of the threat of impoverishing due to the misunderstanding of the concept "contemporary", daring to stress the importance of classical and realistic art in order to understand various techniques of art and certain aesthetic knowledge, seems to raise in the eyes of a contemporary artist disinterest debate.Studying realism according to the academic rules; gaining the knowledge, the methods and techniques of painting, has led us to achieve our goal. Thus, after three years of research, we based our dissertation topic on the lessons learned in the studio and exchanges during our training. Our approach has been analytical, deductive and hypothetical-deductive. From observation of some facts we have made assumptions and then deducted them for reliable results. As we have analyzed some data obtained after interview and survey, the same we have drawn from the general a particular point for a definite conclusion. Reading, visiting, interviewing and survey were the best means that allowed us to access to data for writing. The dissertation comprises four chapters. The first chapter focuses on definition. The second focuses on the general understanding of the topic. A notional approach of terms, preceded by the definition gives us an overview of the whole subject. It clarifies the meaning as well as the essence of the subject in the context through a criticism on the issues. It introduces the concept of the artistic career and discusses on the painting from different angles. The third chapter concerns the teaching of art. Briefly they highlight in one hand, the integral training of an artist and the methods of learning how to paint in the other. The fourth chapter, the last one concerns the applications of the experience we have gained from the first studio in CAFA. This chapter demonstrates the impact of that experience in the artistic career in this ever changing society. And finally, a conclusion with suggestions for posterity closes the dissertation."Learning oil painting in the first studio, a real experience of art". This is how we entitled the dissertation which after twenty seven months or six semesters of research, permitted us to complete our master degree with enthusiasm. This dissertation shows a singularity which evokes controversy since it admits that the experience gained at CAFA allows art to contribute to the success of an artist in society. Also, it is an asset for teaching art. After three years of training, we believe we have gained enough experience that we should be able to run with much prowess and virtuosity the task which is ours. No wonder that our choice of career is the art of painting. If in the twenty-first century, there is a privilege to have art as a profession in developed countries and those in the process of developing, certainly it is because of the cultural politic.
