The romance of Three Kingdoms, written by Luo Guanzhong in Ming Dynasty, is one of the four classic novels, and it is also the model work of the early Qing's colloquial novels. The author successfully created many vivid characters, such as Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao, Guan Yu, and Zhang Fei with superb artistic means. From the angle of social competition, "Romance of the Three kingdoms" wrote more than 400 people, but the focus was the three characters:Cao Cao, Zhuge Liang and Sima Yi. These three characters, practically throughout the history from the Late Han Dynasty's unrest to the Western Jin's unity, became the stronger in the different stages of the historical process.......It can be said that without Zhuge Liang, there would be no Shu Han regime and there would be no Three Kingdoms. Zhuge Liang is the strong of the Three Kingdoms." In China, Zhuge Liang is almost a symbol of wisdom. This article from the perspective of pragmatics, researches Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication Strategies, to explore the language arts under his intelligence system."Pragmatics is just about one of the most promising fields of linguistic studies." At present, the research of pragmatics is becoming more prosperous every day. It has promoted from the originally a philosophical subject put forward by the philosophers to a new independent discipline in the language studies. Among them, The Theory of Conversational Implicature, Speech Act Theory are even more important aspects than others in pragmatics. This article is a specific analysis to Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication Strategies on the basis of these theories:Cooperative Principle, Politeness Principle in Conversational Implicature and Speech Act Theory.The first part analyses Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication Strategies with Cooperative Principle. Under the framework of Cooperative Principle and other principles, Zhuge Liang's speech strategies will be divided into implicit strategy and dominant strategy with his speech practice as the premise. This part will derive his Conversational Implicature and take specific corpus separately for example, in order to be more convincing.The second part analyses Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication Strategies with Politeness Principle. In this section, his Face-saving strategies are divided into a positive face and negative face with Brown and Levinson's face saving theory. By Leech's politeness principle, it will explore his communicative purpose, including the circumstances of observing or violating to these principles.The third part analyses Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication Strategies with Speech Act Theory. This section is according to Searle's Speech Act Theory, and based on its five kinds of Do Things with Words. It will analyze his direct speech strategies and indirect speech strategies. At the same time, this part will explore his conventionality and non-conventionality in indirect speech act.In this paper, Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication strategies will be systemat-ic research. The main methods are statistics, induction and analysis with the combina-tion of corpus classification and theoretical research.The articals or books on Zhuge Liang's Speech Communication Strategies are few yet. This article will study it from a new perspective in the pragmatics. It can be said to have a certain amount of ground-breaking. As some deficiencies are still inevitable, this paper is just for Jade.
